You met on Coffee Meets Bagel two and a half years ago and after talking online for a while, you decided to meet in person. Often when you finally meet someone in person that you met online, it can be a bit awkward… You don’t really know what to say or how to act, and you just get really nervous. However, you both shared with me how natural and comfortable the date felt to both of you. You spent 4 hours talking and connecting!! My Goodness!
Sarah shared that even before she met you, she loved how in your profile you mentioned that the one thing you aways carry with you is your family photo. Because Sarah is very family oriented, this was something that really attracted her in you. She also loves your eyes and smile and the fact that you understand her sense of humor. She felt safe, comfortable, and happy in your presence and never once had a feeling that this isn’t right.
Steven says that he felt a connection with you right away and that he can be himself with you without having to act in a particular way to seem cool. He right away wanted to see you again once the date was over. He loves your sarcastic sense of humor! He also really enjoys your smile; especially in the picture where you hold your hands with your sister somewhere in Mexico. Steven admires how extremely caring you are towards him and the people he loves. He remembers a time when it was snowing and his car was stuck in the snow. Instead of waiting in the car until he cleans the driveway, you got out to help him to dig snow together. He appreciates your genuine desire to help him which made this a very special experience for him. Which made the story even better is that you bought him a car snow cleaner a few days later when you noticed he didn’t have one.
Steven, Sarah says that you completely changed the course of her life. You added so many positive things to it. You brought so much love and support into her life, that she now wants to give that back to others. You inspired her to draw, play piano, work out, and even learn Armenian. She admires your kind heart and generosity, which has no limits for the people you love. She loves how appreciative and grateful you are.
Sarah, Steven says that you also brought some very important things into his life too. He doesn’t have to sacrifice anything to be with you. Instead, you make him a stronger man just by being with him the way you are. He loves your feminine personality, which perfectly balances your relationship.
You got engaged in the cabin in the woods in Wisconsin. Steven had zero doubts or regrets about his commitment. He knew he was making the right choice. He imagined your future together for a long time and he knew that he wanted to have a family with you. He wants to have 5 kids – 3 boys and 2 girls to be exact. Sarah remembers feeling immensely happy and grateful. She felt very lucky that you never make her doubt that you love and care for her.
Both of you look forward to your married life filled with laughter and joy, overcoming hardships, and building your own path of life. You both are excited about having children together which Steven states, is the ultimate duty of yours as human beings and as a couple.

Julia and Paul are high school sweethearts and have been together for a long time. They met for the first time at a skate park – Julia needed a prom date and asked a friend to set her up with someone. Little did she know that this park would then become a place where Paul will ask her to be his wife.
What started as a friendship between two high school kids, would later blossom into a romantic love story. The couple spent many nights around a bonfire laughing and making memories. Julia loves how goofy Paul can get and that he makes her laugh. Paul was infatuated with Julia’s absolutely beautiful looks and kindness. He loves how smart, loving, and independent she is.
Paul says that Julia makes him a better person. She always supports and brings out the best in him. She taught him to be himself and to never give up. In turn, Paul makes Julia a better person by helping her look at the smaller things in life. She loves how sentimental and romantic he can be, how he incorporates little things that are meaningful to her into their daily lives. She enjoys that he tries new recipes and encourages her to try them… even though it doesn’t always work.
As I mentioned earlier, Paul proposed to Julia at the skate park where they first met. She was at home sitting on the couch and Paul came downstairs saying they needed to go on a quick road trip but wouldn’t tell her where. She was in sweats, hair in a messy bun, and no makeup on. In the car he put Julia’s favorite song on and they went to the park. Paul says that the proposal is his most treasured moment. He says that not in a million years did he think he would be marrying a girl so sweet, kind, genuine, loving, and beautiful as she is. And here we are!
In the spirit of the importance of strong friendships to a marriage, Julia and Paul have asked me to read a selection about love that especially resonate with them.

The couple met when Ben was working as a mechanic on Kylie’s ambulance. On the first date Kylie made steak dinner for Ben at her house. Of course, at this point Ben knew she was a keeper! Who wouldn’t be, right?? Kylie immediately fell in love with Rusty, Ben’s dog. She was also very attracted to his smile and laughter (Ben’s I mean, well, Rusty’s too). She admires his optimism and strength and the ability to shine bright even in the face of adversity. Ben loves Kylie’s positive energy, independence, a big heart.
Kylie makes Ben a better person. He loves that she pushes him and pulls him back when he needs it.
In turn, when Kylie is down, Ben reminds her of all her accomplishments and successes and encourages her to continue.
Ben says that he can look at Kylie’s smile for hours. He will never forget the way she looked at him when he proposed. Speaking of proposal, the way Ben proposed was very sweet. He tied the ring to Rusty’s collar and waited for Kylie to notice.
The couple made so many memories together already. Their favorite trip was a spontaneous adventure to Southern Illinois. Ben played “Bette Davis Eyes” song and sang and danced his heart out during their drive. Kylie says that moment reinforced how much her soul loved him and his free spirit.
With all the memories the couple made together, nothing can compare to the birth of their daughter. Kylie says watching Ben become a father is the best thing she’s ever experienced. He was her rock during both birth and pregnancy and that is something she will treasure forever.

Like many couples today, they met on an online dating site. They went on a date to get some food and drinks and were inseparable since. Amanda thought Chris was very good looking when she saw his pictures online, but when they met in person, she was even more impressed and completely smitten. Chris was fully taken by Amanda’s humor and wonderful personality and how comfortable she made him feel. The relationship blossomed from there on.
Chris surprised Amanda with a proposal one day after their dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It was very out of the blue – they came home, complained about how full they were and here Chris was – on his knee with a ring out asking Amanda to marry him. Amanda was so happy that she instantly threw her arms around Chris and started crying. It was a beautiful moment.
The couple is looking forward to their life together and building a family. Before Chris left for Germany, they stayed up late talking about music, stories from their past, and most importantly – how they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. And here we are.
I once attended a wedding where someone mentioned that once you get married, your personal self dies, and from now on you become one. In my opinion, nothing can be further from the truth. When you get married, you plant a seed that slowly grows and eventually takes on an identity of its own as your new family. During this time and ever after, it is very important to stay true to who you because this is why you fell in love with each other.
Chris really loves how passionate Amanda is about her work. He loves listening to her talk about history and interactions with her students. Amanda admires Chris’s dedication, loyalty, and compassion towards others. She loves his spectacular guitar skills and how he taught her to play video games. She also appreciates that Chris became an instant cat dad, which was very important to her. Please remember the things you love about one another while creating your new memories as a family.

They met when they were working in Minas Fish House in Hawaii. Even though they didn’t really talk much during the first year, Victor had a huge crush on Francesca. Victor shared a story with me that before he and Francesca started dating, he was with some coworkers at a dance club. While outside talking, he accidentally spilled the beans and told everyone that he is secretly in love with Francesca. Her close friend then threw Francesca under the bus, letting him know that Francesca feels the same way. This led him to finally take action and ask her out and here we are! By the time they had their first date, they had already known each other for years and felt very comfortable and could talk about anything. Victor says he felt like he was on cloud 9! Francesca definitely felt he sparks fly! She loves how sweet and genuine he is. Also, because they worked together, Francesca witnessed first hand Victor’s strong work ethic. In turn, Victor is charmed by Francesca’s combination of beauty and wittiness. He admires how she goes about her life without too much distraction from the media or pointless scrolling. She is great at communication and partnership and makes sure that Victor always feels loved. He also loves how she takes care of their kitty, and it really shows him what a great mother she will be. Victor says Francesca makes him a better person. Since they started dating, he feels very motivated to grow and become stronger both financially, physically, and mentally. He wants to make sure that he can support her to the best of his abilities. He says that Francesca taught him how to travel. Until he met her, he had never left Hawaii. You’re saying it like it’s a bad thing... She has shown him the world both physically and emotionally.
Francesca loves that Victor always listens to her, especially about her emotions. This is literally, the sweetest thing I heard – when Francesca feels blue, he tells her: “It’s just raining in your brain right now, it will pass” and it makes her feel okay about what she’s feeling. He taught her patience. The Chicago side of her is fairly fast paced and the Hawaiian side of Victor helps her slow down and be a bit more patient and accepting.
Their proposal was also the sweetest one ever! They were staying in Maui for one last trip before moving to Chicago and they went for a walk before dinner. Victor took Francesca to take a selfie next to a fountain and instead of pulling his phone out, he pulled out a box with a ring. He got down on one knee and sang for her the song “Grow Old with You” but changed the lyrics to be about their relationship. Francesca felt beyond excited and couldn’t believe it was really happening. She has always known that she wanted to marry Victor and now cannot wait to start a new chapter together as a married couple.
Francesca and Victor look forward to their life together. He can’t wait to wear his wedding band and be able to call her his Mrs. They are looking forward to purchasing their first home, strengthening their bond, and starting a family one day.
